Project Details: Dixon Studios, LLC constructed over 5000 sq. ft. of themed rockwork and pools for new animal exhibits at the new Grizzly Ridge for the Akron Zoo. New spaces included Grizzly Bears, River Otters, Red Wolves, Coyotes and Eagle Enclosure as wells as a new Aviary for birds of Ohio. Dixon Studios, LLC worked with Main Street Design and Eaton Design Studio, LLC to design, fabricate and install over 30 Interpretive Graphics and Way finding Signs and interactive displays. Adults and children alike can perch in an over sized bird’s nest, Soar Like an Eagle with a spinning eagle wheel, slide like an otter and weigh themselves by Bear Food portions.
