| NATIONAL MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUSEUM & AQUARIUM Location: Dubuque, Iowa Completion Date: June 2010 Exhibit Designer: Christopher Chadbourne & Associates Primary Exhibit Designer: Hadley Exhibits Inc. Scenic Fabricator: Dixon Studios, Inc. Project Details: Dixon Studios Inc. worked with Hadley Exhibits of Buffalo, New York and Chadbourne and Associates Design Firm of Boston, MA on the National Mississippi River Aquarium in Dubuque, IA. Dixon Studios work including the 35’ tall waterfall feature which was the centerpiece for the museum space called Rivers to the Sea. Our scope also included the scenic theming of a 40,000 gallon Gulf of Mexico tank as well as several smaller tanks highlighting the Mississippi River journey. The children’s play area on the second floor includes a child size interactive Beaver Lodge fabricated and installed by Dixon Studios.
